Summer weekending

Soaking up the last bit of summer with the old, standard beat-the-heat winner - water. We love any reason to sneak up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a hike, swim and picnic at Skinny Dip Falls ranked high on our list of new favorite spots. Of course, an afternoon at home washing the cars with our little helper turns into plenty of fun, too (: 

Honey Harvest

Thankful for our sweet, hardworking honey makers. Our first honey harvest proved exciting and successful and we look forward to enjoying and gifting some sweet backyard honey this summer. 

Water + Sand + Naps [HHI for 4th of July]

Wren now has her first beach trip in the books thanks to our sweet friends, the Powers, who graciously invited us along on their family vacation to Hilton Head Island for the holiday weekend. Wren loved every minute of playing in the sand and the waves, swimming in the backyard pool, bike rides, oreo ice cream at the Salty Dog Cafe and plenty of worn-out-best-kind-of-tired naps on the spot. What a special treat of summer fun and we are so thankful for some special time away with some of our best buds!
