Snow snaps

I may do the physical lifting, but my sweet girl sure lifted my spirits today. So much to be thankful for on this Southern excuse for a snow day.

2015

 2015 held a lion's share of grins. We sure hope to add to them in 2016. 

As always, we pray for God's presence and direction for our little family as well as yours.

Christmas 2015

A simple Christmas, just the way we like it. 

Wren enjoyed a morning filled with the story of Jesus and presents coming her way all day long - her favorites being her very own pink chair and new "mooie" (smoothie) cups. 

We ate way too many of our family's special cream cheese cookies and Tyson's low country boil and marveled as Wren walked by herself all.the.way up the big hill at the Anderson farm. 

Today we've cashed in on stocking stuffers by burning my most favorite candle (Hearth by Linnea's Lights) and decking out Michael's Trooper with most of his new decals before it started raining.

We hope your Christmas was just your version of Merry! 

#OptOutside

A family hike, picnic and a swim [for Sully] on the Eastatoe River for our version of #OptOutside. 

Always our top choice kind of day together. 

We slowed down and took time to enjoy the miles + scoping out the fly fishing potential + the endless crunch of leaves + teaching and learning about pines, ferns, maples, hemlocks, mountain laurel and fresh water springs + smelling all the above foliage as we hiked + Sully's crazy love for a good swimming hole and fetching sticks + the art of sharing sandwiches.
