Wren [11 months]

It's just a normal day today - just the pair of us at home together. You are napping now, no doubt worn out from your dancing escapades the kitchen [watching yourself in the reflection of the oven] and following me around the entire house over and over - my dear, sweetest little [crawling] shadow. 

I surely hope we can always apply the rule that you can never have too many pictures because it's days like these I never want to forget. One day you won't be tugging at my ankles, mimicking everything I do and vying for my every ounce of attention. My showers won't include 100 rounds of peek-a-boo to you just on the other side of the curtain and my days will slowly begin to revolve less and less around you as you'll be independently governing yourself more and more bit by bit.

Through misty eyes, let me remind you, little bird, that my heart....my heart will always revolve around you!

Let's go slow this month. Do it for mama (:

Wren, you make even the simplest days feel special. I just love being your mama.

Wren [10 months]

There's something about this time around that makes me a little extra aware that you are, in fact, growing up so darn fast. Maybe it's the double digits - I don't know. 

It certainly could be your THREE new teeth, your ever increasing mobility (seriously, how can one crawl so fast?!), the way you have started to assert yourself when it comes to your meal choices and our playtimes, your constant "talking" which now is making sense (yes, a duck says "quack, quack") and your silly, fun loving, content personality - all I know is that you become more YOU every day and we love YOU much, sweet Wren!

Wren [9 months]

Clearly monthly pictures are not high on your list of priorities right after you wake up from your nap. But a little milk with Mama, lunch, time in the pool and catching up with your Oowa and we tried again. Much better!

Wren, these days you're such a delight - we'd bottle up this age as one of our favorites for sure! You're so much fun, high energy (when you're in your element), silly, snuggly, adventurous, a little fearless, smart and oh so happy most often. We couldn't be prouder parents so thank you for making us part of the gushing parents club in no time. We love you!

Wren [8 months]

Every mama feels it and I'm no exception. You are simply growing up way too fast and my heart can barely keep up. And neither can I - you are on.the.move. 

I'm just so thankful that each day holds it's own joy. That way I can manage to let go of yesterday and look forward to whatever newness tomorrow will bring us. But I'm most thankful that I get to spend each day with you, my sweet girl. And to see you and Daddy light up when you see each other. Oh man. 

H[28th]BD, Bink!

This is a picture of a picture that I have secretly kept in my Bible for years. It's quite possibly my favorite one of you, Bink. For one, you're candidly shirtless (all while repurposing furniture for me) and mostly because it simply reminds me of who you really are in the way that I know you - of the man that I'm blessed enough to love and to be loved by so deeply. 

All I know is that men aren't made like you anymore and, after these past 10 years together, I still couldn't stand it if you weren't all mine. I love you MUCH, Michael. Happy 28th Birthday today!
